Broadway Goes to the Dogs!

Nearly 200 breeds of dogs will head to the Piers of New York on Saturday February 11th for the 8th Annual AKC Meet the Breeds and 141st Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. That also means that the ever-popular Theatre Benefit is taking place on the Friday before. A generous group of dog loving, animal advocates come together every year to enjoy an evening of wonderful theater, fine food and excellent company!

Every year, PetPartners’s (AKC Pet Insurance) owner, Sir. John D. Spurling KCVO OBE, underwrites an annual Theatre Benefit that takes place during AKC Meet the Breeds and Westminster in New York. For the past three years, proceeds from the evening go to benefit the not-for-profit organization, Take the Lead.

Take the Lead was founded in 1993 and provides direct services, support and care for people in the sport of purebred dogs who suffer the devastation of life-threatening or terminal illness. Thanks to PetPartners and Sir. Spurling’s generosity, 100% of the proceeds from the evening will go to support the Take the Lead cause.

This year’s Broadway show features Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812 at the Imperial Theatre and, as usual, the dinner will be held at the iconic 21 Club.

PetPartners is honored to have the opportunity to fund this incredible evening that supports such a very worthy cause. We’re looking forward to enjoying the Theatre Benefit, Meet the Breeds and Westminster in just three short days!
